How to Use:
Bathe your dog as usual, squeeze out as much water as you can with a towel, and comb him smooth.
Stretch
the coat over the head and using the pin provided, pin it snugly under the dog. Smooth the back and gather the coat under
the tail and pin.
With the coat in place, the wicking action will dry your dog quickly and smoothly eliminating
the need to blow dry the body with a hair dryer. The coat will fit snugly but it stretches with him so your dog can move about
freely and not feel confined.
To Maintain Your K-9 Grooming Coat: Machine wash using mild
detergent, and tumble dry. Fold flat to store.
Tips: As with all things new to your
dog, keep an eye on him the first few times he has it on. Be sure he doesn't try to remove the pins before he's dry.
Use your Grooming Coat as a Finishing Coat:
After show grooming your dog, spritz him with
some anti-static spray, conditioner, or plain water. Pin the coat on the dog and let him rest. Remove the coat just before
you go to the ring.
Using the Grooming Coat to Cool your dog off:
Soak your Grooming
Coat and store it chilled in a cooler until you need it. Then ring it out and put it on your dog -- he'll cool off quickly.
This works great for after the outside shows in the summer or while taking a walk on a hot day. The Lycra will also protect
the dogs coat from the Sun's harmful UV rays.
Caution: This method is only intended for cooling
off your dog after being out in the sun for a short period of time. If your dog is heat stressed use cold running water or
ice to cool him rapidly. Applying ice or a cold compress to the groin area and under the tail, or immersing him in cold water
may save his life.
